Cheers to the Bride-to-be
My friend, Maxine, said that she was looking for a rehearsal dress for her wedding, in a little under a month. I asked if I could help find something for her, since she spent hours scouring the internet for dresses the day before. A white sleeve, mini dress was what was requested. I sent a list of probably 10 dresses, and these were her top 3.
I am a girl that loves a good sequin, and if you sequin with a geometric print, you grab my attention immediately. The one thing I wish the dress had was a full sleeve. I don't know why, bu I seem to struggle with half or 3/4 length sleeves, but for a night of celebrating, I loved the 20's vibe this dress had. I could see some loose curls in her hair with some Gatsby inspired hair pins.
Then the all sequin with long bubble sleeve, I have to say, if it was full length, I would totally think about that dress for the wedding dress, not just rehearsal. This dress paired with a perfect pump & flowing locks would be a great combo for a light out. I don't think there would be any mistake in who is the bride-to-be.
Lace for me is super southern, but it has to be perfect for me to pick it. Lace can read juvenile to me or can be chunky. I loved the print of this lave dress and it isn't like your grandmothers doily with the small waist cut out. The best detail, to me, is the edge of the sleeve. I love a scallop edge.
I think I had sent the list to Maxine within an hour of what I had found, to which she said that I should totally be a personal shopper; and if you want to pay me to personally shop for you, I'm totally game! I don't know which one Maxine will choose, but which would you choose?
