The Stress of the Holidays
This year might be one of the most stressful, but not in the most noticeable way for some. I have heard some people say that they are breaking out for the first time in years (if I'm being honest, lucky you) and cleaning just doesn't seem to be doing the trick! In July, the Clarisonic I had been using for over 10 years would be no longer, as the company called it quits, so I would no longer be able to find the brushes that needed to be replaced every few months. The search for the next facial brush was on! I have pulled the trigger on one of the silicone Pop Sonic Leaf "brushes" because it was rechargeable, which was a must because I didn't want batteries which was something I was noticing about some of the ones that I was looking at. I am still not so sure about the shape and if I like that, but this was to see if I liked the silicone brush.
Next, on my list of must have on hands is the acne dots. I tried a couple different brands, but I love the availability of the Alba Botanica Acne Dots because I can pick up at Target anytime, but I also loved the way that they actually worked. There are two different sizes in the packs which I also loved. The visibility (or invisibility) that the dots have is also amazing, even though half of our faces are covered in public, as no one can really tell that you are covering up an imperfection. I try to wear overnight, but sometimes, I want to take care of it now, and that is during the daylight hours.
The last must have on hand item are charcoal sheet masks. After running errands, and doing Christmas shopping with a mask covering your nose and mouth, throw a sheet mask on to help with the "mask-ne" that people have struggled with during covid. Not only is it great for your face, but it is also a good chance to sit and watch a Hallmark Christmas Movie and say that you are busy.
What are your go-to's? How are you handling the stress of the holidays?
