Smize
If you have grown up watching ER or Grey's Anatomy, and known that you aren't book smart enough to become a surgeon, you know the importance of smiling with your eyes. In the current state of the country, and having to wear a mask, I feel like we all get to live out our surgical fantasy and for girls like me, we have to figure out how to flirt with our eyes when we get to start meeting new people in public. I have grown up with blonde lashes; being a redhead, it is normal. Long, full but blonde lashes. From the moment I was allowed to wear makeup, mascara has been the one thing that I won't leave the house without.

Over time, the tech with mascara has changed every year, if not, every few months. I have my preferences, like most girls, even to preferring the soft bristle brush to the plastic. I have found the mascara that shows the length of my lashed, but not really the fullness and then visa versa. Clinque was one of my go-to's when I was growing up, but of course, the beauty industry is ever changing and it never seems to fail that they get rid of the one thing that you use, right? So back to the drawing board, and I tried to find the replacement. No longer is it just lengthen or fuller lashes, but there is now curling technology that is built into mascaras.
I have been blessed, and I know that I have, with lashes that are already naturally curled. They are so curled, that my lashes have been known to my eyelid, right below my brow. So after years of research and trial & error, I believe I have found the correct mascara for me. Lancome Monsieur Big. I do not feel ready to take on the day until I put on my lashes!
I thought that I might try to give my lashes a break by purchasing the magnetic lashes. I tried one version that was very early on, and they were magnetic to each other and the false lashes were too straight, so I felt like the didn't do what they were supposed to. Then I discovered the drugstore option that has a magnetic eyeliner. I wore those for New Years Eve 2019. I thought I wouldn't have to wear mascara with them, but that isn't really possible because you can see my blonde lashes in front of the magnetic lashes. I haven't found the option of falsies that allow my lashes to take a break, so if someone knows of an option for that, please let me know!
I know my feature on my face is my eyes, and always looking for the best new thing, but I will always have my perfect stand by of Monsieur Big. Well, until they decide that they need to discontinue for something else, but until then, I am so happy that I have this product to help me smize.
