Masking It
The last 5 weeks of being stuck in the house, not being able to see friends, grab a drink on a patio or just going out to run errands that don't include groceries. I had my hair cut about a month prior to the lock-down so I am not really in the "I need a haircut now" mentality, but I wanted a change.
I love my natural hair color. I have grown to love it, accept it and wear it proudly. I have always been the type that when I start to go gray, I will dye it as many crazy colors as possible because I am not the type to pretend like life isn't happening, and why not have fun? So, I took this opportunity after hearing about MoroccanOil Color Treatment to take a chance and try something new while changing it up a little bit. Just something temporary while conditioning my hair.
When reading about the color mask, it did say that virgin hair would not work as well as it would color treated. It also said that it wouldn't last as long in virgin hair either. But I took the chance and risked what it would end up looking like. I am so happy I did. I picked to try the Bordeaux Red since it was one of the colors that does say that it will color darker tresses.
The color didn't come out red, it actually looks more pink in my hair, which I was totally ok with. For the first time in weeks, I did more than just dry my hair; actually curled it
You can purchase the masks at both Sephora & Walmart from what I read online, and for anyone that is up for a change and excited about trying something different while in quarantine, DO IT! If you hate it, it will wash out, and you will have some time before you have to see a bunch of people.
